But you did not go away alone....

Prayers of peace continue with the belief that you've begun a new, pain-free life. What we have lost in this world, Heaven has gained! No doubt all the beloved relatives who have passed-on gave you an exuberant welcome. I'm sure you, Daddy and Mom have danced several Polkas to celebrate being reunited, for example.
Not being able to talk with you now is difficult because I miss you very much! Our marathon phone calls and the immense laughter we shared throughout them stand-out. Your New York sense of humor - Priceless! Checking-in regularly kept us involved in each other's lives. Feeling cared for likewise eased the sense of being alone at times. Words of encouragement and support reminded us we could handle life's challenges - "We're Ewaniszyks", afterall. Sending cards / packages was another way we enjoyed staying in touch. You especially appreciated receiving them decorated with cut-outs and stickers.
You've always been an integral member of our family - Celebrating so many good times with all of us and providing comfort during unhappy times. "Life of the Party" is a fitting description for your beautiful spirit and unique sense of adventure. "You're 1 in a Million" is another phrase that truly suits you - A thoughtful and kind-hearted person with a charismatic nature that spoke her mind. Wishing the best for nieces / nephews as well as for their families (including the four-legged kind) melted the miles that separated us. Reminiscing over special memories and family stories / traditions strengthened our bond.
You hold a special place in my heart, Aunt Mary, and I'm grateful for your loving presence in my life! May God keep you in His care until we see each other. Tears of sadness will then be replaced with those of joy. And we'll be able to exchange "I Love You's once again...

My darling "Stella", (you knew the reason for the nickname, that's all that matters.)
The tears will flow for quite awhile. I still hear your voice in my ear, "Hey ya, where you been?!" We just spoke. I knew how thrilled you were to have our Orthodox Christmas. You always cherished connections back to your favorite...Memories.
I always promised you that I would write down the family stories. I did. You made sure that the memories carried on through the next generations. Oh, how you LOVED our family! (My tears are flowing and I just want to call you.) How we LOVED you back.
When we would lose a parent, you were always there for each & every one of us. I told you that you were the "family COMFORTER." We could be sure that you would wrap yourself around us with your LOVE and ease our sorrow. You did, each and every time. Making us smile, laugh and cherish our loved one. Telling stories of your fun times in the house on Fayette Street. I wish we could've seen the house, one more time. We ALL were your children.
Vacations together will be cherished. You were ready for anything! Especially DANCING. So glad we have those pictures held in time.
I am so thrilled that you are together with our family in heaven. You asked God every night, you told me, "How much longer, I am ready anytime. We've got a lot to catch up on." Well, your wings were finally ready, my Angel. You always told me, "don't forget to go to church and say your prayers. God is always watching and listening."
You believed in this family, our heritage and where it all started. It standed the test of time and heartaches. You knew all the nieces & nephews birth dates. Where you were when we were all born, along with Gr'ma & Gr'pa. Amazing!
You were a shining example of LOVE. Thank you so much for that. Gr'ma, Gr'pa, Aunt Ann,Uncle Al, Uncle John, & Daddy (Uncle Nick) have showered you with kisses upon your arrival. What joy...along with all of your sister/brother in laws, family & friends. What a reunion!
As a family, we should stay close. No matter the distance...just as you did. What a beautiful example you were. I will miss you every day.
Uncle Bill, she LOVED you very much. I know that your heart is broken. She would tell me that she was watching the basketball games, then you would talk about it. How she started "betting" with the gals at the complex, whenever SU played! She could'nt get over how much you resembled Gr'pa, especially wearing your hat, mowing the lawn.

While Aunt Mary was an affectionate term rather than a relative term, my husband and I loved when Aunt Mary visited here in Solivita. She was so much fun at the Grille and chatting with all of us.
Once on a vacation to Vero Beach, we made arrangements to have dinner with Aunt Mary and her beloved brother Bill. Boy, did we have an evening at the Ocean Grille looking right out at the ocean. Wonderful, wonderful evening.
Mary was a lovely, caring lady that left a mark on those who knew her, wherever that might be.

Our deepest condolences ito Uncle Bill and our entire family in the passing of our Aunt Mary. She was a true gem in this world of rocks. And to Uncle Bill.... my deepest sympathy. Please know that not a telephone conversation went by that she didn't mention about how much you did for her. You were a great brother. May God bless your soul Aunt Mary and enjoy your new life. My very dear friend Mary was a beautiful person inside and out and I will miss all our times together going to St. Charles/St. Ann's parish functions, our dinner dates, our long Sunday morning chats after communion in the community room at Bishop Ludden Apts. that lasted into the afternoon and our very, very long talks on the phone. There is a huge hole in my heart and I miss her every single day. She was such a bright and beautiful light in my life that I will never, ever forget. She once told me in church when I showed up in shorts that if her father ever saw me dressed like that for church that he would send me home to change right away. Since that day, I have never ever worn shorts to church again and I never will. When she spoke, I listened! I miss her funny wit and her ability to make me laugh at the simplest things. I wish much peace and happiness for her and I know that she is in a better place with all her family members that she missed so much. I hope she is now dancing in heaven, because that was the happiest of times in her life!! God Bless You and be with you always my friend, until we meet again. Lorri Caloia
So sorry to hear of Mary's passing Billy. She was a great buddy to my Aunt Helen and such a nice person. My Dad and Aunt Helen will keep her company.....
