Mary E. (Longo) Bugge's Obituary
Mary E. (Longo) Bugge, 87, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse to the late Sebastian and Rose (Monaco) Longo. Mary worked hard to provide for her family, she retired from Syracuse City Schools after many years of dedicated service and she assisted with her family owned businesses, Maytree Ice Cream and Vincenzo’s Pizzeria in Constantia. When she was not working, Mary enjoyed cooking, baking, and trips to the casino. More than anything she enjoyed time spent with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her husband, Vincent Bugge in 2017.
She is survived by her loving children, Carmen (Kellie) Bugge, Benjamin (Maryellen) Bugge, Anthony (Vicki) Bugge and Teresa (Mark) Shattuck; 11 grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Bugge, Jennifer (Todd) Wilber, Jessica (Kevin) Rojek, Vincent (Darcie) Bugge, Brandon Bugge, Antonio (Annie) Bugge, AJ (Ondrea) Bugge, Zachary Bugge, Erannan, Teresa, and Mark Shattuck, Enrique (Meghan) Carrasco; 7 great-grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Christopher, Alyssa, Kian, Nathan, and Francesca; a sister, Bernadette DelVecchio; two brothers, Michael (Marie) Longo and John (Sandy) Longo; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral mass in celebration of Mary’s life will take place at 9:30 am on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 4 – 7 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
