Mary A. (Daniel) Milligan's Obituary
Mary “Munnya” Milligan, 77, of Liverpool, gained her angel wings and passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Daniel. She was a graduate of Liverpool High School where she was a member of the band. Mary had a successful career at John Deere for over 30 years. Following retirement, she took pride in helping others through her work at H&R Block. Mary was an incredibly talented artist who taught ceramics for over twenty years. Always thoughtful, Mary was a cherished mother and grandmother who loved spoiling her family. She was an excellent cook who loved to prepare meals for family and friends, and she always made sure that her kitchen was never closed and that nobody ever left her house hungry. Her family is blessed to have learned so many life lessons from Mary.
She is survived by her three sons: Harold (Betty) Milligan of Liverpool, NY, John (Mary) Milligan of Bridgeport, NY, and Michael (Tina) Milligan of Brooklyn Park, MN; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Kaci, Abby (Robert)Schroder, Sarah, Mallory, John, Michael, and Jayden Milligan; one great-granddaughter, Emma Milligan; her sister, Theresa (Louis) Carbone and family of Memphis, NY; her brother, John (Paulette) Daniel and family of Liverpool, NY; and a multitude of cherished friends and acquaintances. One of Mary’s greatest gifts was her sense of humor and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, strangers included. She will be sorely missed but leaves us rich in memories.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A funeral service in celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 401 Hamilton St., Syracuse, NY. Private burial will be in St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery.
