Mary M. Modafferi's Obituary
Mary M. Modafferi, 92, of Syracuse, passed away August 26, 2020 at The Bishop in Syracuse. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Modafferi. She is also predeceased by her brother Dominick, sister Antonetta, brother-in-law, Mason Goss and nephew,
Michael Goss.
Mary is survived by her loving sister and best friend, Angela; 3 nephews, Anthony (Elizabeth) Modafferi, Chris (Cynthia) Goss, and Fran (Lisa) Sidnam; 2 nieces, Judy (Greg) Tearney and Jessa Goss; 8 great-nieces and nephews and 12 great-great-nieces and nephews that she truly loved and enjoyed.
Mary graduated from Assumption School and worked at General Electric in the payroll dept. for 37 years. She loved to travel with her sister Angela throughout the United States and Europe. “The Three Musketeers”,
as she and her sisters were called, enjoyed many Sunday drives together and lots of laughs. Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 9:00 – 10:00 am at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life at 10:00 am, with burial in
Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Daniel’s Church.
