Mary T. (Pappalardo) Lee's Obituary
Mary T. Lee (Pappalardo) departed this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 to the arms of her savior Jesus Christ and to be with her loving husband Les on the day they renewed their vows in the eyes of God.
Mary was born in Syracuse, NY on January 11, 1943 to the late Joseph and Angelina Pappalardo. She graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1962. Mary worked from home doing childcare for many neighborhood children and JC Penney’s in Carousel Mall.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Lester Lee as well as her parents. She is also predeceased by her stepbrothers, John, Andrew, Edward, Joseph and Sam Martino, along with stepsister, Anne Loiacono, sister-in-law, Linda Barnum, brothers-in-law, Ronald and Jerry Lee and mother-in-law, Roseanne Rocke.
Mary is survived by her children, Michelle Townsend (Brad) of Florida, Lynn Leonardo (Charles), Joseph (Christina) and James, all of Syracuse. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jason Frier, Zachary Copp, Robert Murphy, Michael Leonardo (Kaili), Danielle Leonardo and James Scrimale; her brother, Anthony Pappalardo (Marie) and stepbrother, Arthur Martino (Patty); brothers-in-law, Richard Lee and Elwyn Lee, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery RD. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 10 AM in St. Daniel’s Church 3004 Court St., Syracuse, NY, with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
