Mary A. "Micky" Reid's Obituary
Mary A. “Micky” Reid, 66, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Menorah Park of CNY. She was born in Syracuse to the late William and Mary (Bocyck) Heikkila and worked for PCI (now Dupli Envelopes and Graphics) for over 40 dedicated years. Whether she was flaunting her luck at the casino or on one of her many vacations over the years, Micky cherished her time with family and friends. Camping at Riverforest campground was a special tradition, one held for 22 years.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Elsie Storrings and Tammy Cole-Walsh, her close friend, Pam Guyder, and her dog, Mandy.
Micky is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John Reid; her sons, Michael (Danielle O’Neil) Page and Jamie Page; her grandchildren, Taylor, Eliana, and Ayden Page; her siblings, Linda (Greg) Emlaw, June (Doug Benedict) Beeles, Angelo (Nancy) Amodei, Sharon Amodei, and Bill (Lorrie Royal) Heikkila; her cat, Ashley; along with several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service in celebration of Micky’s life at 6:15 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A prayer service will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:15 A.M. at the funeral home, followed by interment in North Syracuse Cemetery and a celebration of her life at VFW Post 7290, 105 Maxwell Ave, North Syracuse, NY.
