Mary Rose (Panto) Posenauer's Obituary
Mary Rose (Panto) Posenauer, 81, of Fairmount, passed away on August 16, 2023 surrounded by her children, to be reunited with the love of her life, her beloved husband, Jack A. Posenauer, whom she greatly missed.
Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of North High School and worked at General Electric (GE) when she met her loving husband, Jack. Mary Rose was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Fairmount.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jack in 2006 and her parents, Joseph in 2011 and Margaret (Manginelli) Panto in 1981.
Mary Rose is survived by her daughters, Rene’ Druce and Lisa Posenauer (Jason Egerbrecht); her son, Jay (Kim) Posenauer; two adorable granddaughters, Samantha (Russell Graziano) and Nicole Druce; step-grandchildren, Josh (Stephanie) Mazur and Mikayla (Josh) Nelson; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Patty Panto; nephews, Joe (Melissa) Panto and Jeff Panto; great-nephews, Noah and Eli and great- nieces, Aubrey and Adelay.
Our family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the nurses in unit 1-5 at St. Joseph’s Hospital for all the kindness, compassion, care, and empathy shown to our mother and to us.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 9:45 – 10:45 am at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Fairmount, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Mary Rose’s life at 11:00 am in Holy Family Church. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
