Mary S. (Serino) Marsello's Obituary
Mary S. (Serino) Marsello, 97, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. A life resident of the Syracuse area, Mary was the daughter of the late Libro and Giovannina (Patrecka) Serino. Mary enjoyed winters in St. Pete’s Beach, FL, the annual antique trip to Bouckville, traveling, and large family gatherings. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and infused every holiday with traditions and love.
Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Carmella; and her brothers, Dominick, Peter, and Nunzio as well as several beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving husband of 76 years, Ralph A. Marsello; her daughter, Susan C. Marsello; three grandchildren, Jennie (Cosmo) DeRose, Joseph (Angela) Wilhelm, and Mary (Eric) McClusky; eight great-grandchildren, Liliana, Ethan, Joey, Jacob, Anna, Zachary, Sofia, and Lena; a sister, Caroline Blain; along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church 342 Vine St. Syracuse. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt, NY. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY.
