Mary C. Vatrano's Obituary
Mary C. (DellAquila) Vatrano, 104, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday at Birchwood Health Care. Born in Italy, Mary lived in Troy, NY, then Albany and moved to Syracuse in the 1960's. During WWII she worked for a shirt factory in Troy and won an award for specialty design. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Vatrano in 1982 and her grandson, Richard in 1998 and her son-in-law James V. Fresina in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Adele R. Fresina of Liverpool; 2 grandsons, James (Deborah) Fresina and Ronald T. (Karen) Fresina, both of Liverpool; 6 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 9:30 AM in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 10:30 AM in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO FUNERAL HOME on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM.
