Mattia (Fiermonte) Peppone's Obituary
Mattia (Fiermonte) Peppone, 98, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday. She was born in Syracuse, had a passion for crossword puzzles, reading, and crafts. Mattia loved spending time with her family, enjoyed baking and loved animals.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Angeline (Patrone) Fiermonte, Sr., her husband, Paul C. Peppone,two sons-in-law, Joe and Donn; five siblings, John, Carmen, Joseph, Mattia & Frank.
Mattia is survived by her daughters, Joanne Morganti of Liverpool, Frances Nottage of East Syracuse, and Angela Yates of Cheektowaga. N.Y.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Julia Tucciarone of Syracuse and her brother, Rocco Fiermonte of G.A., several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 A.M. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2-5 P.M. on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse N.Y.
