Mauro Anthony D'Eredita's Obituary
Mauro Anthony D'Eredita, 77, a resident of Liverpool, NY passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family and close friends on Sunday, December 7, 2014. A first generation Italian-American, Mauro was an alumni of North High School and Syracuse University. He had an eclectic career that began as a teacher at ESM and Liverpool High School, followed by working for New York State, before becoming an entrepreneur and starting the Job Shop Employment Agency. Mauro considered these roles and related accomplishments secondary to the personal relationships that defined his life. He cherished his life-long friends from the "North Side" of Syracuse, his neighbors and friends from Jewel Manor in Liverpool, NY and mostly his family.
Mauro was surrounded by those he loved through his final weeks, a time of tribute to a life that was genuine and lived his way. Husband, Grandpa, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Neighbor and Friend. He will be deeply missed, but the meaning he gave, the love he engendered and his spirit remains in all of those he touched.
Mauro is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie (Crisafulli) D'Eredita, his two daughters, Maria (Cory) Attra and Theresa (Gregory) Barone; his two sons, Anthony (Ruth Moors) D'Eredita and Michael (Christine Poulos) D'Eredita; his grandchildren, Nicolette Attra, Lilliana Attra, Mia Barone, Sam Barone, Juliana D'Eredita, Anthony D'Eredita, Matthew D'Eredita, Louis D'Eredita and Augustus D'Eredita; his brother, Carmen (Connie) D'Eredita; his sister, Theresa (Norman) Jarvis, and his many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Mauro’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
