Mendo J. Glamcevski's Obituary
Mendo J. Glamcevski, 61, of Liverpool, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 with his family by his side.
He was born in Macedonia to Josif and Liljana Glamcevski on November 30, 1963. The family immigrated to the U.S. in 1971 when Mendo was 7. Mendo finished CNS High School and attended vocational school training. He was a hardworking man. In his younger years he and his brother delivered newspapers.
After graduating high school Mendo joined his brother and worked in their family cleaning business.
In his free time, he enjoyed swimming in their backyard pool. Mendo was a long-time member of St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Tale and Ilinka Glamcevski; his maternal grandparents, Petar and Ilinka Bubalovski; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jovan and Desanka Petrovski.
Mendo is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lidija (Petrovski); his father, Josif; his mother, Liljana; brothers, Tale and Toni, as well as aunts and many cousins.
He was the best husband, son and brother. He was a friend to everyone that knew him. Rest peacefully Mendo. You will forever remain in our hearts.
To celebrate Mendo’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A trisagion prayer service will be held at 6:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. in St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church, 5083 Onondaga Rd. Syracuse. Mendo will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Donations in Mendo’s name may be made to St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church.
