Michael Ciciriello's Obituary
Michael Ciciriello, age 100, died Friday, October 22, 2010, at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Born in Alberabello, Italy he was the son of Cosimo and Maria (Fumaralo) Ciciriello. He was predeceased by two children Charles Tagliamonte and Mary Ann Webb, three brothers Ciro, Domiinick and Frank Ciciriello. He is survived by his wife Marianna "Marion" Canestraro, 2 sons Cosimo (Lorraine) and Phillip (Linda) Ciciriello. Two Daughters Lorraine (Douglas) Kenney of Syracuse and Nancy (Thomas) Bowden of Camillus and a brother Frank Ciciriello of Jamesville, 13 Grandchildren and 17 great-grand children. Michael retired from Crouse-Hinds in 1972 after 33 years of dedicated service as a core maker. Michael was an avid bowler for over 80 years. He played saxophone, mandolin and guitar for the Tyrol, Syracuse Colonial and Army Navy Union bands. He was also a member of the Madonna Assunta Society. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 A.M. in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 11:30A.M. at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church. Entombment will be in Assumption Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 4 P.M.. Thanks to the nurses and faculty of Community General Hospital and all the staff at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation center where he received wonderful care.
