Michael Carmen DiCarlo, 88, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Thursday at his home. He was born in Syracuse, the son of Phillip and Rose (Panebianco) DiCarlo and was a 1942 graduate of North High School. Michael served with Read Obituary

I met your father back when he worked with my Dad at the Post Office, and regularly at any of Joe's family events (mostly weddings and holidays). My father always liked him, and I can understand why. Always a pleasant word, and positive attitude; very much like my father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

As we celebrate Memorial Day, may we celebrate the memory,service and love of Michael Carmen Dicarlo. It was a great privilege to know him and enjoy his sense of humor. He always made the members of my family and I feel like members of his family. We look forward to the time when we can all be reunited with our loved ones. When you think about it from an eternal perspective, our earthly journey is but a brief period of time. Before you know it, we will be with Mike again. Until then, let us take comfort in knowing that there is a special place in heaven reserved for special people like him. I can see him in my mind's eye, smiling broadly as he enjoys the peace and serenity of being reunited with his Heavenly Father and his eternal mate.

I have such fond memories of your Dad. Especially up at the camp in Canada. I remember him showing me how to filet a bass right on the dock! He enjoyed being with all the family and friends and that made me feel just like family. And what a great smile and laugh Dad had. If I crossed my line up he would just chuckle and help me untangle. My memories will always be warm and friendly as was Mr. DiCarlo. He will be missed by us all.
