Michael J. Ferris' Obituary
Michael J. Ferris, 78, of Bernhards Bay, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mike was born in Syracuse to the late Russell and Genevieve (Pharoah) Ferris and attended West Genesee High School. He was the owner and operator of Liverpool Shoes, specializing in repairing worn shoes. Mike loved a good game of cards, especially if it was pitch or poker and enjoyed being outdoors to golf, hunt, and fish. He also volunteered with the North Shore Ambulance Corps.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Susann (Hearn) Ferris; his children, Kelly (Bernie) Seeley of Dade City, FL, Edward (Margo) Ferris of Brewerton, Michael (Bob) Ferris of Clifford Twp, PA, and Melissa (Kelly) Ferris of Brewerton; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; his siblings, Russell (Maureen) Ferris, Gerald (Geraldine) Ferris, and Barbarann (Charles) Youmell; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 1 – 3 pm immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Mike’s life at 3 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
