Michael M. Finistrella's Obituary
Michael M. Finistrella, 92, of North Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Riposto Sicily. Michael served in the Italian Army during WWII. Upon completion of the war, Michael and his family settled in the United States. He worked for Syracuse Tank as a welder and retired in 1984. He enjoyed making wine, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and five brothers. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Antonina (Iannello) Finistrella; his children, Carmela (Thomas) Green of Baldwinsville; Adriana (Robert) Kolb of Brewerton and Maurice (Angela) Finistrella of Jamesville; six grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, Robert, Bryan, Angelina and Marisa along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Cecilia's Church with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
