I have the fondest memories of Mr. Gentile from my youth, hanging out at the families New York City apartment with my best friend his daughter Lisa, and the rest of the Gentile ladies. From Junior High through High School, I was treated as one of the family with Mr. Gentile like a second father to me. My heart is heavy to learn of Mr. Gentile’s passing. I have no words. I lost my father a few years ago and there was nothing harder for my mother and I to go through. I know the pain that strikes and I wish I could do or say something to take that pain away. I can only share, with hopes, that it will be of some comfort, to say that I witnessed the great love first hand that Mr. Gentile had for... his wife Jennifer, and three daughters Lisa, Robin & Tara. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I send you all my love.

Uncle Mike, the memories i have of you will last a lifetime. I always admired your calm demeanor in parenting us kids, no matter what mischief you had found us in. I lived at your house each summer and Christmas, and you never seemed to grow tired of us all invading your house, eating your food, and occupying your space. We were treated as family at your dining room table. I love you and your family so much, and will keep the memories of you close to fill the spaces in my heart.

I’m very sorry about Mickey’s passing. I always carry fond memories of the Virgilio (and Bersani) family gatherings, dating back to my childhood in Syracuse. Mickey was always a sweetheart of a guy. My heart goes out to you all. God bless Mickey - May he Rest In Peace.
