Michael A. Marzullo Sr.'s Obituary
Michael A. Marzullo, Sr., 86, of Cicero was called to his creator early on Saturday morning. He was born in Syracuse, New York to the late Thomas and Mary (Ventre). Mike left school early at the age of 16 to join the National Guard. Then, at 17, he proudly served his county in the United States Marine Corps, earning the rank of Sargent. Mike retired from Niagara Mohawk as a supervisor with 40 years of service.
In his spare time, Mike loved watching his many grandchildren's athletic events, working in his garden, on his home and nurturing his fruit trees. For years, Mike and his wife enjoyed opening their home to their extended family to celebrate Christ on the eve of his birth.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy J. (Ware) Marzullo; his four sons, Michael (Cheryl) Marzullo of Amsterdam, NY, Ralph (Vicky) Marzullo of Cicero, Mark (Melissa) Marzullo of North Syracuse and David Marzullo of Kirkville; daughter-in-law, Nancy; six grandchildren, Joseph (Lindsay), Nicholas, Michael (Stacy), Jennifer (Adam), Michele (Dan), and Mark; six great grandchildren, Frankie, Giada, Nina and expectant Adalyn and identical twins; sisters–in–law, Carmella, Irene, Shirley; brother-in-law, John; dear friend, Dorothy Spinella; and beloved K9 family member, Eva; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
