Michael Murphy's Obituary
Michael Murphy, age 68, of Clay, passed away peacefully on Saturday. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Gerry and Louise (Delong) Murphy. Michael had just recently retired from Gaylord Bros, where he had worked over 45 dedicated years in the maintenance department. He was a longtime member and past chief of the Clay Volunteer Fire Department. Michael enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed attending classic car shows and building classic cars as well, especially his own 1946 Chevrolet blue pickup.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Ochsenbein) Murphy; sons, Jeff (Heather) Murphy and John (Jill) Murphy; daughter, Jennifer (Ray) Willis; step-son, Dereck Ochsenbein (Amanda Backes); grandchildren, Gavin, Brandon, Avery, Mason, Ella, Gabriel, Christian, Liam and Clara; brother, David Murphy; along with many aunts and cousins.
