Michael "Herbass" Renczkowski's Obituary
Michael "Herbass" Renczkowski, 64, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Henninger High School. Michael served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran, receiving 2 Purple Hearts. He was a Manager of Distribution with the United States Postal Service for over 25 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Shirley Renczkowski and his sister, Sue Sotherden in 2012. Michael is survived by his wife of 9 years, Lynn Delaney; four children, Brian (Charlene Gibson) Renczkowski of Buffalo; Gil Odjick (Lisa McConnell) of Illinois; Chad (Desiree) Odjick of Indiana and Venessa (Shaun) Atkinson of Syracuse; 8 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Rita (John) Olmstead of Syracuse; Mary Renczkowski of Martha's Vineyard and Trudy Delosh of Syracuse; brother-in-law, Ron Sotherden of Ohio along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service in celebration of Michael's life will be held on Friday at 6:45 pm in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 4:00 to 6:45 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
