Dr. Michael Merle Reynolds' Obituary
Dr. Michael Merle Reynolds, 77, of Syracuse, passed away June 1, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Merle and Margaret (Racht) Reynolds. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts, Master’s, and Doctorate of Education degree at Syracuse University. He retired from Marcellus Central School District as a Reading Specialist. Michael enjoyed stamp collecting, reading, driving his mustang and cheering on Syracuse football and basketball as well as any NY football team. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating and loved spending summers at the cottage on “The River” with his family and the winter months in Fort Myers.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Mary Reynolds Killecut in 2017.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Aileen (Bowe) Reynolds; two daughters, Marisa Reynolds Tobler (husband, Michael S. Tobler) and Amanda Reynolds Cech (husband, Daniel J. Cech); three grandchildren, Alexandra Cech, Hayden Cech and Bennett Tobler; two brothers, Joseph Reynolds and Gerard (Alicia) Reynolds, along with many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 6, 2024 in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive, Syracuse, NY. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
