Michael R. Russo's Obituary
Michael R. Russo, 83, of North Syracuse, NY, passed away suddenly on May 5, 2025. Mike was born on August 25, 1941, to Michael and Rose Russo of Syracuse, NY. He graduated from Assumption Academy, Class of 1959. He spent his career in sales, where he built strong relationships and earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
He is survived by his beloved life partner, Rosanne Martin, his children, Michael T. (Tina) Russo and Diana (Ron) Tyler and siblings Daniel Russo and Richard (Virginia) Russo. He was a cherished grandfather to Zachary (Karen) Russo, Aidan (Kelsey) Russo, and Matthew Kanfer, and a proud great-grandfather to Silas and Kellan Russo who carry on his legacy.
He is also remembered with love by his former spouse, Carol Russo, the mother of his children, as well as Rosanne’s children, Kara (Harry) Grannis, Rick (Angela) Martin, and Paul Martin, who held a special place in his heart.
Mike was known for his loyalty and had a wide circle of friends. He enjoyed hunting, golf and playing cards. His greatest joy came from time spent with family.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Michael’s life at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212. Michael will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:30 A.M.
