Michael J. Secreti's Obituary
Michael J. Secreti, 63, of Liverpool, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a 1972 graduate of Liverpool High School. Mike received his first drum set on Christmas morning when he was 11 years old. He began his local music career playing at school and church functions in his first musical coalition, “Pyckett Fence”, in 1969. Over the years, Mike “Big Foot” Secreti’s highly solid drumline accompanied local bands such as Garr-lynd, KANE, Outta Control, Alec Star, and ZOID. He worked as a car detailer for Bresee Chevy and Fuccillo for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy (Cooley) Secreti, and his father-in-law, Phil Galuppi.
Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sandi (Galuppi) Secreti; daughters, Jessica Secreti and Jamie (Parker) Greenwood, both of Liverpool; granddaughter, Korina Greenwood; his mother-in-law, Corrine Galuppi; several aunts,nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and his beloved dog Baxter.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 16th, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
