Mike to me was, is and always will be a truly special person. Everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him immediately thought of him as a friend, myself included.
I still remember the first time the three of us met, hanging out in the back at Tusk and having a conversation like old friends, that positivity honestly made my day.
Everyone who had a chance to spend time with the both of you is better off for it, and it’s a moment we can all look back on with appreciation and happiness.
I’m so sorry, and I’ve got you both in my mind and heart.

Dear Gina, Mr. and Mrs. Yorton, Mike’s Sisters and Extended Family,
Gay and I are deeply saddened to learn of Mike’s sudden passing. It is hard to believe. Like many of us in the beer world, we came to know and love Mike through our work. Our relationship with Mike transcended business. Calling on Mike at the Tusk was like seeing an old High School or College buddy. That great big smile followed by his yelling out “JARVIS!” and always the BIG hug. Naturally then a beer… or several. Mike was, and always will remain in our hearts, a beautiful man. Beyond intelligent, fun in that good warm crazy sense and so well loved by us all in beer. His spirit and passion inspired us always and made us better at what we did. You had to know your stuff when calling on Mike at the Tusk, which is why he was so well respected as Le Grand Tuskafarian! We will miss him.
Please know that you are in our hearts and thoughts during this sorrowful time and that the memory of Mike brightens all of our souls.
