Michel Elias "Mike" Saba's Obituary
Michel Elias “Mike” Saba, 62, of Manlius, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester on January 29, 2021. Mike was born in Jaffa, Israel, son of Elias and Germeine (Zabaneh) Saba. Ever the entrepreneur, Mike owned many local area businesses, most notably; Saba’s Frame and Art Boutique, Golden Supermarket, and 4SU Taxi. He also loved to make trips to the various casinos around town and go target shooting. Affectionately known as “Uncle Mike” to many, he was a loyal, humble man whose family was his pride and joy; spending time with them was the most important thing to him. He was caring and generous to everyone he met and was loved by all who knew him.
Mike is predeceased by his father, Elias Saba.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Vivianne (Eslaimen) Saba; a son, Elias M. Saba; a daughter, Suzanne Saba; his mother, Germeine Saba; a sister, Selma (Nicholas) Hinnawi; 7 brothers, Salim (Elizabeth), Wadih (Jeanette), Victor (Elizabeth), Joseph (Rosa), Johnny (Mervat), Alfred (Nelly) and Andrey (Tagreed) Saba; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10 am – 12 pm followed by a funeral service in celebration of Mike’s life at 12 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. To attend the funeral service remotely, follow the link on Mike’s tribute page at tjpfuneralhome.com at 12 pm on Thursday.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
