Morris H. Reals' Obituary
Morris H. Reals. 81, of Central Square, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 17, 2019. He was born in Watertown, NY, son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Soper) Reals.
Morris retired from Tuscarora Construction in Pulaski and previously worked for Santoro Construction and was a 60-year member of the Operators Union. After retirement, Morris worked in the construction industry and was also a marine design and construction contractor. He was a “Jack of All Trades”.
Morris previously owned and operated the Historic Tugboat, “The Buffalo”. For many years he ran his tug, barge and crane up and down the New York waterways, fulfilling many wishes of water front home owners and developers.
He was predeceased by his wife, Adeline D. (Watkins) Reals in 2010, and his brother, Lewis Reals. Morris is survived by his daughter, Margaret A. (Mark) Heitmann, three grandchildren, Joshua S.H. Heitmann, Nathan P. Heitmann, and Nicholas G. Heitmann; his companion, Carol Moot; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Reals; two nephews, Clifford Reals and Lewis (Julie) Reals, along with many great-nieces, great-nephew and cousins.
A funeral service in celebration of Morris’ life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango, NY. Family and Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road, (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
