Myron Cromp's Obituary
Myron Cromp, 77, of Jamesville, formerly of Briggs Street, Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on Friday with his loving family by his side. He was born in Malone, NY and lived his entire life in Syracuse. Myron served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He retired in 1995 after more than 25 years of service with New Process Gear, Local 624. His passion was home building and construction. Myron worked for many years with his two sons by his side, teaching them his endless wealth of knowledge to form what today is known as Cromp Custom Homes. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and son-in-law, going to breakfast or lunch everyday together. Myron will be dearly missed by all, especially his two dogs, Shania and Fiddy. He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Rose in 1995. Myron is survived by his children, Michael (Patty) Cromp of Camillus, Michelle (Angelo) Caruso of Liverpool, David Cromp of Jamesville, Thomas (Tracey) Cromp of Syracuse and Brian Cromp of Jamesville; grandchildren, Anthony, Danielle, Christopher and Luke Caruso; Courtney, Samantha, Hudson and Devon Cromp; brothers, Byron (Ruth) of North Syracuse and Richard of Florida; sisters, Frances (William) of Maine and Norma of Kirkville. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Myron's family would like to express a special Thank You to Linda, his nurse as well as Hospice of CNY.
