I can’t say there’s too many people in life who I can so clearly recall the first time we met. Maybe it’s because we had already known each other through Emily before meeting in person. When I finally met Nancy in person I visited her along with Emily during our freshman year of college. She was different than other moms of friends I’d met in that she just immediately accepted you and basically cut all the shit out. No pretenses, no niceties necessary. Just pure realness. I just remember thinking, “Is this lady for real?” She was so warm, always. She was funny and direct. All of these qualities live on in her daughters. She raised two strong and smart women. Nancy, you spitfire, you will be missed dearly by everyone who ever had the chance to know you. ❤️
