Nancy M. (DeBello) Forleo's Obituary
Nancy M. (DeBello) Forleo, 89, of North Syracuse, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. She was born in Oneida, NY, the daughter of the late Pearl (Carmola) and Anthony DeBello. Nancy graduated from Oneida High School in 1942 and was also a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital, which was a big part of her life, from 1960 to 1986. Nancy had a “Heart of Gold” and was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, John DeBello.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dominic J. Forleo; her three children, Paul D. (Jill) Forleo of Pittsford, NY; Jean (David) White of Essex Junction, VT, and Thomas (Barbara) Forleo of Cicero, NY; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Jared) White-Place, Daniel (Sara) White, Christopher Schaefer, William Forleo, Katherine Forleo, and Alex White; four great-grandchildren, Max Place, Annabelle White, Anneliese Place, and Charlotte White; her brother, Anthony (Carolyn) DeBello of Mississippi, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Nancy’s life at 11:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
