Whenever anyone asks me what the earliest thing I can remember in my life is, my cousin, Nancy, pops into my mind.........(My cousins, Nancy and Donna Harrington, and my sister, Ellen, and I are seated at our little wooden table and chairs set in the middle of the living room in the house I lived in on Jefferson St. in Little Falls across the street from Columbus Park,....... all dressed in fancy dresses, eating cake and ice cream and playing games to celebrate my 3rd birthday.) Being close in age, we 4 were the best of cousins! I also fondly remember cousin sleep-overs, Sunday family dinners at Grandma and Grandpa Talaba's "back house" on Southern Avenue, and dancing around in our pajamas on the living room furniture at Nancy's and Donna's house to the tune of Verdi's aria, "La Donna E Mobile," from his opera, "Rigoletto." We were very close and had so much fun! Sadly, after we all graduated from high school and moved apart from one another to go on to college, get married, have children and work at our careers, life got in the way and our joint fun family encounters ceased. Though we kept in touch through occasional cards and family events, now that Nancy has left us I truly regret all the joyful times we never had as adults relatives. I'm glad I have so many delightful memories of Nancy when we were young to be able to remember the sweet, pretty and best of my cousins that she was. I'm sure those of you close to her are missing her dearly........My condolences to you all. Love and peace, Paulette Ferraro
