Nancy (Agati) Pompo's Obituary
Nancy (Agati) Pompo, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Seneca Hill Manor. She was born in Syracuse N.Y., daughter of the late Benjamin and Alfia Agati.
For many years she enjoyed traveling with husband Tom, lunch with friends and family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy worked for many years employed as a hairdresser working in the shop as well as her home all while raising and caring for her beloved children. She was a magnificent cook and could make the simplest meal special.
She was loyal to her friends and family, always there for her children and grandchildren, and will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile.
Other than her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband Thomas; daughter Jeanne Dowding; her sisters, Mary Daddario and Fanny Agati; her brothers Tony, Sam and Nick; grandchildren, Thomas and Adam Pompo.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Marilyn Wojnowicz (Rick Nuzzo); son Robert Pompo (Teresa April); son-in-law, Thomas Dowding; Suzanne Pompo; brother John Agati; sisters-in-law, Jane Agati, Emma Scalione; grandchildren, Kristin Simoneau, Karin Daige-Dowding, William Wojnowicz, Lauren Phelps, Kimberly Pompo-Gherardi, Rick Nuzzo, Tiffany Nuzzo, Trina Nuzzo; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the first floor staff at Seneca Hill Manor for their compassionate and attentive care.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:00 A.M. at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley) followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. Monday August 14, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday August 13, 2017 from 1-4 P.M.
