Nathaniel David "Nate" Linger's Obituary
Nathaniel David “Nate” Linger, 21, of Liverpool and Albany, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born in Syracuse and was a 2011 Liverpool High School graduate where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the Liverpool Warriors Varsity Lacrosse Team. Nate received his Bachelor’s Degree in 2015 from the University at Albany and was an active member of the Albany Business Leaders Emerging (ABLE) Business Fraternity. He was currently employed as a Product Marketing Specialist with ChannelEyes in Troy, NY. Nate loved watching SU basketball, was an avid snowboarder, enjoyed mountain biking, watching movies, video games and playing frisbee golf with his dad. He always enjoyed a good meal, especially steak. Most of all, Nate loved spending time with Lexy and his friends, and he always had a smile on his face.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Gerald H. Linger.
Nate is survived by his mother, Beth Ann (Fee) Linger of Liverpool; his father, David G. (Wendy A. Marsh) Linger of Geneva; his brother, Brian T. Linger; the love of his life, Alexa Rose “Lexy” Witte of Liverpool; grandparents, Linda (Norman) Gruschow of Saratoga Springs; Ellen Linger of Greece, NY; G. Thomas (Frances Ann) Fee of Belle Vernon, PA; aunts and uncles, Kristen (Dave) Geoghegan, Cathy Fee, Kathryn (Daniel) Contento, Nicholas (Sue) Gruschow, John Gruschow, along with numerous cousins and his beloved dog, Lucy.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Nate’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Calling hours for family and friends will be from 3:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
