Nettie (Morris) Sheltray's Obituary
Nettie (Morris) Sheltray, 65, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Watertown, NY, daughter of the late Kenneth and Beverly (More) Morris. Nettie attended Bryant and Stratton college where she received her associate’s degree. She worked at BJ’s Wholesale Club, Kilian Manufacturing, and for several years at Upstate Hospital as a housekeeper. She enjoyed painting, watching tv (especially cooking shows and QVC), and spending time with her daughter and granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Sheltray in 1996, and her sisters, Linda and Charlene.
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Bosco; her two beloved granddaughters, Ella and Emma; her siblings, Jacqueline, Kenneth, Barbara, Teresa and Diane; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Michael Updike and Georgia Rodriguez.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:10 p.m. in St. Daniel’s Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Contributions in Nettie’s memory may be made to the SPCA Foster Program.
