Nicholas DiBello's Obituary
Nicholas DiBello, 61 of Minoa died on Friday, April 8, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center with his family by his side. Born Wednesday, November 2, 1949. He was the son of James and Carmella (Cisternino) DiBello. Nicholas was employed by the City of Syracuse School District starting out with the district as an accountant he attainted the position of assistant to the superintendent of facilities retiring in 2010 after 34 years of dedicated service. Nick was a member of the National Guard Reserves, International council of Educational Facility Planners, International who's who of professionals, New York School Business Officials and the Onondaga County Energy Commission. He was inducted into the Northside hall of fame in October 2007. Nick was an avid NY Yankee Fan and SU sports supporter. He is survived by his wife Mary M. (Muth) DiBello, a sister Monica (Marty) West of Syracuse, 2 nieces Janine (Mike) Huber, Denver, Co., Nicole (Ritch) Strom, Liverpool, NY. 3 great nieces Madelyn, Monica, & Nina. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care he received at Lenox Hill Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital, Hematology & Oncology. With respect to Nick's wishes there will be no calling hours. The family invites relatives and friends to join in the remembrance of his life with a Celebration of Mass of Christian Resurrection to be celebrated at 10:30 A.M on Tuesday at Our Lady of Pompei Church.
