Nicholas J. Schillo's Obituary
Nicholas J. Schillo, 74, of Cicero, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. He died of covid, with complications of leukemia, from Agent Orange after serving in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Air Force.
Nicholas was born in Syracuse and graduated from Liverpool High School. Following his military service, he worked for Local 333, and later Chrysler, retiring in 2000 after 30+ dedicated years. Nicholas enjoyed golf and was a member at Wa-Noa Golf Course.
He was predeceased by his parents, Wesley and Angeline Schillo, and a brother, Wayne. Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marjorie (Lewis) Schillo; four daughters, Angela (Warren) Bristol, Laura LaFluer, both of Cicero; Brenda Schillo of N. Syracuse, and Tracy (Mark) Temple of Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, Raymond (Nancy) Schillo of Liverpool; three nieces and three nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 9 – 11am, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Nicholas’ life at 11am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Per the family’s request, all attendees are asked to wear a facial covering. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
