Nicolina G. Fratto's Obituary
Nicolina G. Fratto, 50, of Lyncourt, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 18, 2014. She was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Liverpool High School where she sang and performed in a number of school plays. Nicolina also graduated from SUNY-Oswego and majored in Public Justice. She worked for the Onondaga County Medicaid Department for many years. Nicolina was a beautiful person of strong faith and spirit; a ray of sunshine who never let anything get her down.
She was predeceased by her father, Daniel G. Fratto.
Nicolina is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Joseph Tartaro; her four beautiful children, Daniela, Salvatore, Antonino and Isabella; her mother, Katherine Fratto of Lyncourt; two brothers, John (Katie) Fratto of North Syracuse and David Griffiths of Syracuse; two sisters, Lorna (Ron) Beres of Port St. Lucie, FL., and Diane (Ray) Italiano of Cuba, NY; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service in celebration of Nicolina’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
