Olga V. Canestrano's Obituary
Olga V. (Iannotta) Canestrano, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at Loretto Nursing Home. She was a life resident of Syracuse and previously worked for Learbury and Porter Cable before retiring from Penn Traffic, Division of P & C.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Assunta Iannotta and her brother, John Iannotta. Olga is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Michael L. Canestrano; her son, Michael A. (Denise) Canestrano; her daughter, Betty Sue (Tim) Indelicato; granchildren, Daniel S. and Katie Canestrano, Beth Corey Canestrano and Alyssa Marie Indelicato; great-grandson, Tyler S. Canestrano; sisters, Mary Barbetta and Lena DiFusco; sister-in-law, Louise Iannotta; brother-in-law, Michael R. Canestrano along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:45 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 1:00 pm in Holy Family Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Olga's family would like to thank the staff of Loretto Cunningham, 6th floor, especially to Heather, Lucretia and Patty for their loving care they gave to Olga.
