P. James Newman, MD's Obituary
P. James (Jim) Newman, MD, 67, of Clay, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 7, 2025. Born in Allentown, PA, Jim was the son of the late Philip Floyd Newman and Eleanor Bach Newman. He was a graduate of Lehigh University (1975) and Hahnemann Medical College (1981) and completed his residency training at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University (1986). He was an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and sports medicine with Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists.
He is survived by his significant other, Renee Molinere; his children, Jaimie Newman (Keith Murphy) and Brian Newman (Megan Boright Newman), their mother, Susan Faro Newman, and his grandsons, Bode and Rory Newman; his sisters, Cara Newman Steidel (David), Amy Newman, and Jill Newman Camuti (Vincent); his nieces and nephews and Renee’s daughters, Elizabeth, Selena and Samantha Moreno.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
