Pasquale C. Fortino's Obituary
Pasquale C. Fortino, 83, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse and served with the US Army during WWII. Pasquale retired from General Electric in 1988 after 25 years of service. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Pasquale was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed his trips to the casino. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rosanne Fortino in 1974. Pasquale is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Concetta (DiFato) Fortino; daughter, Grace (Edward) Wilson of Syracuse; son, Patrick Fortino of Seattle, WA; 4 grandsons, Eddie, Mike, Greg and Steven Wilson; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Maria) Fortino of Arizona; 5 sisters, Molly Werpakowski, Louise Buehner, Mary Bowles, Josephine Leonard and Rita Boucher, all of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm.
