Patricia Anne (Azzoto) Barilla's Obituary
Patricia Anne (Azzoto) Barilla, 84, of Melbourne, Florida, and formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in Melbourne. She was a graduate of North High School Class of 1953. She loved fashion and interior decor, and had a career in retail, associated with Chappell’s and Fuleihan’s. Patricia and her husband Joe were founding members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cicero. Patricia was a member of the Suntree United Methodist Church in Melbourne, Florida and loved being an active member of the Red Hat Society. Throughout her life, she volunteered and worked for numerous charitable causes.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Gene) Tamborini of Melbourne, and son, Joe Barilla of Fort Lauderdale; sister, Clementine DonVito; brothers, Anthony (Fern) Azzoto and John (Sandy) Azzoto; sister-in-law, Frances Barilla-Gardner; grandchildren, Ashley (Sean), Evan (Rachel), Noah, Mark; great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and her beloved Chihuahua Sasha. Her cherished 104 year-old Aunt Leonora Azzoto-Sabatino survived “Patty” by one day;
Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Barilla; her son, Mark T. Barilla, and her parents, Anthony “Tony” and Ruth Azzoto; sister, Anne Giaquint; sister-in-law, Rosemary Barilla-Sullivan; brothers-in-law, Louis DonVito, Myrle Gardner, Denny Sullivan and Jimmy Giaquint; in-laws, Angelo and Anna Barilla.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero, N Y. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Arrangements entrusted to THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
