Patricia (Keneston) Barney's Obituary
Patricia (Keneston) Barney, 79, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Elderwood Nursing Home. She was born in Rochester and worked for many years for Liverpool Central Schools. Patricia loved to go boating in Alex Bay and play train and pitch with her friends. More than anything she cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Dean Barney in 2019, her parents, Frank and Kate Keneston, and her brother, Bob Keneston.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Deana (Michael) Mahar; her grandchildren, Shannon (Justin) Gallo and Sean Mulvaney; her great-grandchildren, Aiden Martinez and Jaxson and Juliana Gallo; her sister, Cathy Burritt, of VT; her “adopted daughter”, Kelly (John) Dobek; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place from 2:30 – 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Patricia’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
