Patricia Gene (Ney) LaRose's Obituary
Patricia Gene (Ney) LaRose, 72, of North Syracuse, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born to the Eugene and Patricia (Brock) Ney, she was a graduate of North Syracuse High School. Patricia worked as a bus driver for the North Syracuse Central School District and was the proprietor of Mostly Shaker Custom Woodworking. She was also a renowned country folk artist. Sunday dinners will never be the same, her children, grandchildren, and extended family always looked forward to those special gatherings. She was a loving mother, nana, sister, and best friend to many, she will be truly missed.
Along with her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her son, Michael, in 2003, and her brother Michael, in 2021.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Bruce Emmett LaRose; her children, Jeff (Audra) MacCollum, and Karen (David) MacDowall; grandchildren, Nicholas and Zachary MacCollum, and Walker and Parker MacDowall; a brother, David Ney; two sisters, Kelly (Ney) Bunch and Colleen Ney; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212. A private funeral service will be held, and Patricia will be laid to rest beside her son in North Syracuse
Cemetery.
