Patricia Diane Graham's Obituary
Patricia Diane Graham, 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Washington DC, to the late Edward and Barbara (Rush) Graham. Patricia was an accomplished attorney, employed by the Department of Energy in Washington DC, where she resided for nearly all of her adult life.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her brother, Robert Graham.
She is survived by her sister, Joanne (Bob) Leopold of Denver CO, and her brother, Richard (Francine) Graham of Camillus NY. Also, her loving nephews, Scott (Heidi) Leopold, Todd (Sarah) Leopold, Christopher Graham, Matthew Graham, and Phineous Graham; grandnephews, Addison Thomas and Noah Thomas; nieces, Amy Thomas, Sarah Graham, Emily Graham, and grandnieces, Mia Graham and Ellie Leopold.
Pat was a voracious reader and had an extensive library. She was an expert in needlepoint and embroidery. Pat enjoyed everything that living in DC had to offer including going to many symphonies, operas, and events at the Kennedy Center, along with the countless museums that she frequented.
She is remembered for her laugh, stories and love of history that she would often share with the family. She had an astounding positive outlook on life despite having Multiple Sclerosis since her late 20’s. She lived the last few years in Syracuse to the delight of her family.
We want to thank the nurses and doctors of floor 9E at Upstate University Hospital downtown, for their extraordinary care of Pat. Also, to Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville for their attentiveness and compassionate care, along with Brookdale Summerfield who helped with her transition to the Syracuse area.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11 AM, at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 2932 Warners Road, Warners NY 13164.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at https://www.nationalmssociety.org/
