Patricia A. "Cookie" Pavia's Obituary
Patricia A. “Cookie” Pavia, 75, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse to the late Daniel Pavia and Frances Liebowitz and graduated from North High School. After high school, Patricia worked many various jobs over the years to support and raise her family; she later retired from Cadaret, Grant & Co. Inc. after many dedicated years of service. Cookie enjoyed gardening, cooking, and decorating for the holidays, her favorite being Christmas. Her delicious, homemade Christmas cookie trays were truly famous, and a special treat enjoyed by everyone over the years. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her cherished family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her former spouse, Dennis Smith and her mother-in-law, Bernice Smith.
Cookie is survived by her loving children, Tammy (Peter) Meloling, Sheri (Ryan) Young, and Gary (Nicole) Smith; her grandchildren, Alex, Dylan, Kaleigh, Joseph and Greg; her great-grandson, Xander; her sisters, Karen “Sissy” (Gloria Giannone) Pavia, Charlene Barres, and Danielle (James) Baines; her brother, Alan (Kim) Liebowitz; her three grand-dogs, Yasi, Beah, Ella Mae; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will take place from 4 – 6 pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
