Patricia "Patti" (Bushnell) Sgroi's Obituary
Patricia “Patti” (Bushnell) Sgroi, 80, of Baldwinsville, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 4, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Syracuse in 1943 to the late Clarence and Dorothy (Winslow) Bushnell and graduated from Eastwood High School. Patti worked for the NYS Workers Compensation Board for over 40 years until her retirement in 2007. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching SU sports, but was an incredibly thoughtful, loving, and generous person who was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Patti is predeceased by her sister, Terry Bushnell, her brother, Billy Bushnell, and her grandson, Jake A. Stala III.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Sgroi, Sr.; her daughter, Kim (Jack) Stala; her three sons, Kevin (Nancy) Ferris, Timothy Ferris, and Jim (Jennifer) Sgroi, Jr.; her brother, Thomas Bushnell of Florida; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 9:45 - 11:45 A.M. followed by a funeral service in celebration of Patti’s life at 12:00 P.M. (noon) at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
