Patrick Keegan's Obituary
Patrick Keegan, 42, of North Syracuse and Newark, NY, passed away while visiting in-laws in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from CNS High School class of 2000 and got his M.A. and teaching certificate from SUNY Cortland in 2006. A lifelong athlete and sports fan, Patrick especially cheered on Liverpool FC from Liverpool, UK. Intelligent, spirited, and quick with a joke, Patrick entertained at social gatherings and built strong bonds with friends, family, students, neighbors, and people all around him.
Patrick met and fell in love with "the most beautiful girl I have ever seen," Sharlotte Lawrence, on his first day of teaching high school science and special education in NYC. After being married and working together for ten years there, they moved to Newark, NY, where they continued to teach and explore upstate. Patrick was also devoted to their 3-year-old son, L'Amoreaux, caring and playing, from ball throwing, to making food, to watching Reaux’s favorite movies.
Patrick is survived by and will always have a special place in the hearts of his parents, Bob and Pat Keegan, now of Baldwinsville; his wife, Sharlotte, daughter of Prince and Susan Lawence of Toronto; his son, L'Amoreaux; his brothers, Chris (Melissa) and Brett Keegan; his aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, his nephews, Henry, Oakley and Charlie, and his many friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY to remember Patrick's many adventures. Following will be a memorial luncheon at Coleman’s Irish Pub.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a college fund in Patrick's name for his son, L'Amoreaux, will be greatly appreciated. To donate, please go to https://everloved.com/life-of/patrick-keegan/.
