Patrick J. Kennedy's Obituary
Patrick Joseph Kennedy, 76, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse to the late John J. and Mary (Corbett) Kennedy. On March 4, 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent an active four years in Frankfort, Germany as a staff sergeant. Patrick loved the outdoors; he enjoyed traveling to new places and a good game of golf. He was an avid reader and was very proud of his Irish heritage. The consummate prankster, Patrick had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandsons.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judith (Cavallaro) Kennedy; his son, Patrick J. (Heather) Kennedy; his daughter, Christina (Stephen) Mulé; his two grandsons, Ethan and Ryder Mulé; his brother, Michael Kennedy; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special thanks to the medical staff in the ICU at the VA for taking such good care of Patrick while he was there.
A calling hour will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 10:30 – 11:30 A.M. immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Patrick’s life at 11:30 A.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse.
