Paul A. Germain 's Obituary
Paul A. Germain, 73, of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday at his home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Le Moyne College and the Syracuse University College of Law.
Paul was one of the founding partners of the Germain and Germain Law Firm and actively practiced law in Syracuse, New York since his admission to the New York State Bar in 1962. He was a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club and the YMCA.
Paul loved to travel and visited every continent and over 128 countries. He was an avid collector of model trains, stamps, and especially, miniature soldiers from all over the world. Paul was an extremely vigorous man and loved to play golf, bike, walk and play handball at the YMCA .
Paul was dedicated to his family and friends and was always willing to make time for those seeking his advice. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marcia (DeMent) Germain; two daughters, Jennifer Germain of Liverpool, New York and Heather (Louis) Clarke of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Hannah and Clara Clarke; brother, Stanley G. Germain of Fayetteville; sister, Dolores Venezia of Cicero and numerous nieces and nephews that he always took the time to treat as children of his own.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and Friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Contributions can be made in Paul’s name to Hospice Foundation of CNY.
