My story, my respect, admiration, and love for Paula go back to 1996. To me, she was my first professional mentor, a source of encouragement and inspiration, a trusted friend and a lifelong safe place, even if given with needed tough love. She was strong, kind, and caring. My Paula, as I called her, was the best at bringing out the best in people and providing the consummate example of what is meant to give the best in all you do. I had the privilege of being part of her motherhood journey. Her being Macy’s mom, was her most important and cherished gift. My Paula had many chapters of life and professional accomplishments and I was immensely proud of her. I respected her. I always reflected upon and applied the lessons she taught me. I loved her, and I am deeply saddened by her passing. I take comfort in knowing Paula knew just how much of an impact she had on my life and that absolutely loved and adored her and Macy. Rest easy My Paula Marie, I will keep on eye on your kiddo just as you told my daddy you would for me so many years ago.
