Paula Marie (Colangelo) Scheirer's Obituary
Paula Marie (Colangelo) Scheirer, 69, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse, daughter of the late James and Helen (Rojeski) Colangelo, Paula was a sales associate for the Salvation Army for many years.
Along with her parents, Paula is predeceased by her sister, Judith “Judy” Colangelo.
Paula is survived by her loving husband, Jerry S. Scheirer; her three sons, James “Jim” (Katie), Brett, and Jerry Jr. (Kyle); three grandchildren, Abigail, Emily, and Nathan Scheirer; nephews, Dave (Chrissie), and Matt (Kellie) O’Reilly; great-nieces, Shannon, and Sara O’Reilly; cousins, Gerry (Lisa), and Rick (Karen) Susko; second cousin Sienna Susko; and dear friends, Carol (Tim) Pike, and Sherri Blair.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Paula’s life at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) Syracuse, NY 13212.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paula’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army of Syracuse.
